The Garden of Becoming · Gene Keys

Your Gene Keys

The Gene Keys, a system created by Richard Rudd, draws on the 64 hexagrams of the I Ching. Each key is a spectrum of one quality, from a shadow, through a gift, to its highest expression.

In the Garden of Becoming, every key is a slider. Drag it from shadow into light and notice where you live today.

How it works

Three things to know

Sixty-four keys

Each one linked to an I Ching hexagram and to a position in your birth chart.

Your activation sequence

Four keys from the Sun and Earth at your birth and about three months before it: Life’s Work, Evolution, Radiance and Purpose.

The lines

Each key carries a line from 1 to 6 that colours how it shows up in you.

In the Garden of Becoming

Move each of your four keys from shadow to gift and talk with the garden’s guide about where you are on the spectrum.

From Daniela's sky

Daniela’s Life’s Work is Key 58 in the second line, a spectrum that runs from dissatisfaction through vitality to bliss. Her Purpose is Key 17, from opinion to far-sightedness.

Questions

Gene Keys, asked

Is And Said Star affiliated with Gene Keys?

No. Gene Keys is the work of Richard Rudd. And Said Star calculates your keys and describes them in its own words.

How is my activation sequence calculated?

From the positions of the Sun and Earth at your birth, and at the moment about 88 degrees of the Sun’s path earlier. The same moments are used in Human Design.

Do I need an exact birth time?

It helps but matters less here. The Sun moves about one degree a day, so a few hours rarely change your keys.
